'Cobra Kai' VI Part 1: Good Choreography, Leaves Me Hungry for Part 2

Now that LaRusso and Lawrence have Silver in the slammer and Kreese has escaped, there's a lot to be fulfilled in Cobra Kai's sixth and final season.

I am glad that the conflicts between Sam and Tory, Robby and Miguel, and Anthony and Kenny have become water under the bridge. At least, that's what I thought for most of them until I finished bingeing Part 1 of Season 6. LaRusso and Lawrence still have their own baggage to work out because, despite their ambition to protect their families and legacies, they still could not be more different when it came down to handling life in and out of their gis.

Kreese still had his own issues to get over whether he wanted to admit it or not. I was wondering if he was there for redemption, and I guess all he wanted was to finish the fight; for Cobra Kai and against Lawrence and LaRusso.

Once in a while, I would see Tory want to soften up and make peace with Sam, and let's just say if you saw the show now, you'd see she has a longer way to go for peace with herself, and everyone else.

And there are still some unanswered questions about Mr. Miyagi that must be resolved by Part 2.

Despite that many characters are regressing into some old wounds, the good parts I saw in season 6 came in some excellent choreography, pop and rock music from artists such as Cyndi Lauper or one of Johnny's favorites, Airbourne, and humanity in some former villains and current Miyagi-Do students. It's good to see that 30 years haven't tired the strength in Zabka, It's good to see that 30 years haven't tired out the strength in Zabka, Macchio. or Sean Kanan returning as Mike Barnes. It was kind of funny seeing School of Rock's Tony Cavalero guest star in the episode where Chozen and Daniel investigated Miyagi's past. Another good part was when Johnny and Daniel got a funny surprise at Johnn's unborn baby's gender-reveal party.

As hungry as I've been for this part of the final season, given the regressing and cliffhangers until November, I would give Cobra Kai VI, Part 1 a 7.3/10. The cast and crew need to change up the story so it looks like the main characters really have a high note to go out with.
