'Bev to the Future': Not a Proper Send-Off

Photo courtesy of Getty Images.   I appreciate the heartwarming display at the end of The Goldbergs' series finale, but I didn't like most of the situation or comedy. Adam not exactly being a good knock-off of red-blooded Marty McFly, Barry not truly becoming more than a knucklehead, and the fact that it didn't flash-forward to them all in the 90s and what became of them, along with not sticking true to original showrunner Adam F. Goldberg's vision, are all reasons that 'Bev to the Future' wasn't a proper send-off. I said that the episode should've been an hour-long, and in addition to that, it should've shown all the Goldbergs surrounded by all their loving friends, cool careers, or Adam trying to jump a ramp with the DeLorean. It may be too late for that, and whether or not there's a sequel series based on the family, I guess remains to be seen. Despite not enjoying too much of them after the los...

'The Goldbergs' Needs Less Rehashing, More Lighthearted Humor

Photo courtesy of ABC and Facebook. After watching The Goldbergs for 5 years, I'm kind of mixed about it today. What started off as Adam F. Goldberg having fun videotaping his childhood in the 80s and showing his crazy family isn't the same fun now in season 10. For example, Beverly's still an overbearing "smother", Barry is still a loudmouth with very one-sided friendships with the JTP, and Adam still has crazy relationship drama with his love life. I know the kid had to grow up at some point, with or without some relatives in his life, but if the show is meant to go any longer, it better show some more lighthearted stuff, something fresh, something that shows the Goldberg family at their truly best . But the show still has some laughs left, emphasis on some .   Despite recycling old embarrassing stuff, the Goldbergs as individuals and together still manages to come together. Just put on some more upbeat family times and music, and I'm sure it'll be fine ...
