'Cobra Kai': Hectic But a Heckofa Lot of Action and Fun

Between learning Johnny's backstory, Daniel trying to find balance without Miyagi, and other parts, it's been pretty hectic for the most part of watching Cobra Kai, but from the end of the 4th season onward, things have gotten better for me. It started off with Daniel and Johnny at war over their past, but now they're getting along, combining styles, and doing what's best for their students and families. That's where Miyagi's "different but same" quote comes in. They're both a hard-a** man when it comes to their families, but that's also where they're at their best.

I'm glad to see that with the exception of Kreese and Silver, villains like Johnny, Chozen, and Barnes all want to right their wrongs from over 30 years ago. The other hectic parts came with Anthony LaRusso feeling left out and the hard personal lives behind Cobra Kai and Miyagi-do members. And I'm no expert on martial arts, but it seems like Tang Soo Do in the case of Cobra Kai is treated like a bad cult or something, but at least in Johnny's case, it has more honor. I'm still with the Goju ryu in the case of Daniel, but I'm just as big on combining both styles to keep the family safe and look sharp in a gi while doing it. Plus, I like the old-school training versus the high tech junk like in Rocky IV . And I enjoy Johnny and Daniel's 80s throwback playlists from Poison to REO Speedwagon to Chicago, etc.

I recommend more people of color and females on the good side, and I look forward to seeing more Miyagi-Eagle combos in the next big production, along with seeing what it would be like to deal with martial arts as an adult. Until then, great choreography, great music, great drama, needs more lighthearted humor and less insults, and great development on the OG Karate Kids and current Karate Kids. And somebody please do something about that crazy Kreese! Till next time, Cobra Kai, strike hard next season!
